We congratulate you and your team for efficient and professional services following the recent East Coast Low in June. Within 30 minutes of lodging a claim with NRMA on Sunday, We had a call from Colin advising us of his services. We were kept informed of plans and early Monday morning the assessing team was in our house. They were understanding and thorough in their investigation. Once decisions were made and photos taken, they systematically and co-operatively unpacked shelves and stacked damaged furniture and carpet outside. Measurements were taken and the paper work checked and they explained the next steps. I was most impressed with the way they worked - they would have been very good value being paid by the hour! Later that day they delivered and set up drying equipment, which almost left us deaf, but was most effective. When this was collected after a few days we were advised of rubbish pickup plans at the weekend (which was a coordinated multi site operation)


We have memories of courteous, efficient, respectful, cooperative and happy people throughout this experience. We sincerely thank you all and can highly recommend your company to deliver excellence.

 Hi Colin,

I'd just like to send a quick email thanking you and your boys for the excellent service they provided in assessing and removing the soggy mess that was once my carpet in my downstairs living room.


They were all fantastic from Mark and Ashley who had the whole lot removed in half an hour and all the equipment in place to dry the room out. They were so polite and reassuring it was a pleasure to deal with them both.


Also to You and the other gentleman (sorry I didn't get his name) who came and took the equipment away and all that horrible wet carpet.

A big thankyou to Colin, Raechel and the team in assisting us with our flooded house after a water pipe burst inside the house whilst we were away on holidays. It was a shock to come home to a house full of water. The team worked very efficiently and effectively to dry the house out ready for restoration to commence. I would like to express my gratitude to East Coast Restorations for the wonderful job they did cleaning my home after we lost our garage and all its contents in a fire back in October 2014. The fire caused damage to the house but thankfully we did not lose anything inside. However the garage was burnt to the ground and the smoke and ash that went through our home was quire considerable.


The East Coast Restorations crew came out to clean our home through our insurance claim. I went off to work in the morning knowing they were coming but did not expect to come home to find my home so immaculately clean. Everything was cleaned from the carpets and lounge being given a shampoo, the windows were all cleaned, (mostly louvered). Everything was dusted, the ceiling fans were cleaned, the floors were vacuumed and steam cleaned and all my timber blinds were cleaned. The house was absolutely sparkling. Not only that, but every single thing was put back in its exact place after the dusting was done.


I am very house proud and like to keep my home clean. Over the years of working full time and raising children once or twice I have bitten the bullet and hired a cleaner. Each time I have been disappointed as nothing really seemed to be cleaned quite the way I like it done. When I walked in the house after they had finished I cried happy tears. I've never seen my home look so clean and it smelled amazing.

I would just like to thank Colin and his team at East Coast Restorations. They were in contact with me within an hour of contacting my insurer. (First for Women Insurance).


I was overwhelmed by their compassion as I was so upset with flooding of an area in my house. Their prompt service was amazing. My place was cleaned up and all damaged items taken away within two days.

Just a quick note to praise your staff for the excellent work they did at my apartment subsequent to the Brisbane November 27 storm. The first crew to arrive (Rob & Mark) were extremely helpful and cheerful in spite of the fact that is was 8PM in the evening and they'd been working all day.


The second crew Travis & Raechel) were just as pleasant and efficient. Considering your team had been away from home for over a week they conducted themselves brilliantly and with a sense of compassion it's great to see this type of service in this day and age.

 The purpose of this letter is regarding East Coast Restorations working on my premises in Grafton and a fire on Thursday 23rd May 2013.

 

A builder had completed an inspection of the damages at my house in Grafton, and advised that walls and ceilings would have to be replaced, this advice was overwhelming.

 

East Coast Restorations inspected damages and advised replacement of walls and ceilings would not be necessary, indicating they would be able to clean the surfaces. East Coast Restorations staff were very helpful and positive with the advice and strategies regarding how they would go about cleaning my house and contents due to soot and smoke damage.

 

East Coast Restorations commenced cleaning immediately, completing the work in a timely manner. East Coast Restorations staff worked very efficiently with speed cleaning walls, ceilings, fittings and personal items to be packed and taken for cleaning, they were also very supportive to me during this time arriving each day with smiles and enthusiasm. The contents of my house were taken to Townsend to East Coast Restorations for professional cleaning, I received all my goods back without any damages and cleaned of the smoke damage, all my electrical equipment was checked by an electrician for any electrical faults.

 

I have no remains of smell or signs of smoke in my house now, which was very over powering in the beginning and I was worried it may never be the same. East Coast Restorations finished cleaning my house and contents in one week which was a huge effort and was very satisfied with the results.

 

I would recommend without hesitation East Coast Restorations to anyone as a competent, professional and efficient service.

Dear Colin,

 

Other grateful people have written to you with applause and I also wish to add my own testimony with regards you and your team for 'putting our home back together'.

 

On the morning of February 25th I contacted our insurance company to tell of the storm damage from February 23rd, and was so surprised when on that very same afternoon two of your men, Robert and Brian were in our living room with large machines to dry out our lovely carpet. It was saturated in that room upstairs plus two other rooms downstairs needing machines set up in each. Quite noisy (Unable to hear the TV above them) and quite warm air throughout those floors. My husband and I were almost startled when all this took place as we hadn't expected your team so promptly and had no idea what they were doing!!. I must say, it is seldom that business people show such courtesy and concern for a client and we instantly liked these two men because they were exceptionally kind to us.

 

Those machines were left working for three full days in which time I think everything in the house' became very dry once more. During the week other people arrived with Robert including Gary and yourself, Colin to make sure that all was going to plan. When the machines were removed another two carpet layers came to replace some underlay and then we had our carpets steam cleaned by Robert and Brian, no trace of the rain-damage remained and there was no need for replacing our lovely carpet which covers the whole of our floors.

 

Thank you very, very much for what has been done for us and I also wish to thank you for what you have done for others property because I know the joy and relief they would feel knowing that what once had looked like an utter disaster was again back to normal and life could go on as before. We will never forget the efforts of East Coast Restorations and will proudly and confidently recommend you to all our friends.

Dear Colin and all your fabulous team at East Coast Restorations,

 

I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated your cheerful and professional help you have provided since November 2012.

 

We were still shell-shocked in November when your team arrived at our home. We had no power, sopping carpets and only dwindling mobile phone batteries left. We had endured 125km winds and horizontal rain for over four hours.

 

Your team arrived first on the scene and we were amazed that you managed to get to us within two hours after we phoned. The whole area was devastated with houses demolished, trees and debris over what roads were open and roof iron and steel shredded like confetti.

 

The team quickly assessed what needed to be done, set all equipment up ready for when power was restored and most importantly cheered us up. Subsequently over the next few weeks we were closely monitored by East Coast Restorations and got to meet many more members of the East Coast team.

 

Everything that was needed was professionally executed and from the lovely lady at the office to the team in-situ I once again, thank-you.

I recently experienced a fire in my home, whereby I sustained extensive smoke damage throughout my whole house and my Insurance Assessor referred my case to East Coast Restorations.

 

I was very concerned when the event happened - you would appreciate, your home is everything you value in life and to have a fire damage all your personal effects, it is very, very traumatic.

 

I was also extremely sceptical about having "strangers" come into my home and have to handle everything I possess in order to remove it, clean it and replace it back where it came from. I thought that no-one would do it with the same care that I could- I was wrong- Colin and his team were very professional and took extreme care with everything they handled. I couldn't fault anything they did, from cleaning the ceilings right down to the littlest knick-knack. Every article in every cupboard had to be removed and cleaned-it was a very daunting task indeed. Not only did Colin personally oversee the restoration of my property, his team of workers took more care and diligence with my personal effects than even I would.

 

Colin was extremely knowledgeable regarding repairing the damage sustained and his expertise in negating the damage the the fire caused, was second to none. He also took the time to explain every step of the process to me and he kept me fully informed at all times. I found his expertise and knowledge very professional and reassuring.

 

I would just like to say that after such a traumatic experience, I have nothing but praise and admiration for the standard of work that Colin and his team carried out and I would have no hesitation in recommending East Coast Restorations to any person who found themselves in the same situation as myself and I can only thank goodness that my insurance company referred my claim onto East Coast Restorations.

I write to you following a fire in my home on 18 April 2011, which resulted in extensive damage to my kitchen.

 

Following a visit from the Pattersons Insurerbuild assessor at 1.00 pm on Wednesday 20 April 2011, it was recommended that a restorations company be engaged to deal with the extensive smoke damage throughout the house.

 

I was delighted to hear from East Coast Restorations representative Raechel, by phone soon after wards that afternoon and to receive a visit from Raechel and the owner/company manager, Colin Powell, who travelled to Casino from Maclean, at 6.00pm that evening to inspect the damage.

 

I had been in mild shock since the fire and was feeling rather overwhelmed by the whole experience and the clean up job at hand, particularly after being informed by the Patterson's assessor that 'He didn't deal with contents'. Colin and Raechel both showed genuine empathy towards me and a sincere understanding of what I was experiencing.

 

It was explained to me at this time the process that would be undertaken to deal with the smoke damage to the interior of my home and its contents and a promise that this would be completed within the next 4-5 days. Colin and his team worked methodically and efficiently over the next four days, which included Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday, to clean my home and its contents, removing soot and smoke damage and odour where possible.

 

I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Colin and his team for giving up their Easter long weekend holiday to get me through this difficult time. Having Colin's cheerful team here was indeed therapeutic, knowing that my home was being restored in the fastest possible time by a team of true professionals who at all times offered me, my home and its contents their full respect.

I was delighted to have my contents returned to me on Easter Sunday, a full day ahead of schedule.
